ABSTRACT:

According to their web site, the San Jose Fire Department (SJFD) serves a population of more than a million people in an area of 205 square miles. In order to do so, the city of San Jose divides its territory in more than 30 Emergency Service Zones (ESZ), some of which report more activity than others zones. These responses were of the medical, fire and other related types.

The objective of this project was to identify the zones reporting more incidents as well as selecting the zones with the highest scores of cases attended and its correlation with contaminated soils and crime statistical data to start identifying potential patterns of behavior in those zones.

Outputs:
Creation of several map layouts displaying the type of response per zone and totals as well as overlaying crime data.

Creation of report of the total type of responses per zone.

Creation of map layout showing the highest cases attended areas and its correlation with contaminated soils in the area.
